RJ Mirabal loves the Middle Rio Grande Valley having lived there for most of his life. A retired award winning Los Lunas high school teacher, he is still active in teacher organizations. Past president and rally chairman of the Land of Enchantment BMW Riders, he remains active in the club. RJ explores back roads and wilderness trails throughout the state on his Polaris RZR four-wheeler as well as hiking some of those same areas with his friend, Paul. Playing the hammered dulcimer is another big interest for RJ and he is a board member of the New Mexico Dulcimer Association which puts on a yearly dulcimer music festival. In his spare time, he travels and hangs out with his wife, Cheryl.
